INFORMATION DAY
Open
This chairperson organizes the setup and smooth execution of the PTO table on Information Day in August. It might require printing forms, bringing pens & other supplies, finding volunteers to help, or distributing spirit wear. This position entails planning before Information Day and ends after the event!
SPIRIT WEAR
Open
This chairperson will work with the Communications Lead to set up t-shirt sales on the website. The chair will also work with our t-shirt supplier to get the best prices and quality. You will also organize the orders for Information Day. You may choose to have a second spirit wear sale in the fall.
BOOK FAIRS
Jenny Maron
Krissy Mayer
Tami Shaw
Every year, the Kromrey PTO's Book Fair Chairpersons organize the Scholastic Book Fairs in the Kromrey Library. This is a tried and true event that quickly finds lots of volunteer participation!
7th GRADE SPORTS TOURNAMENT
Open
This committee plans a fun end of the year sports event that may include soccer or basketball. The committee will reach out to local vendors or work closely with school administration or physical education teachers. Caregiver volunteers are required to run the tournament.
SPEAKER CHAIRPERSON
Open
This chairperson learns what topic Kromrey families & staff would find interesting to learn from a guest speaker. This chair would coordinate with the speaker, the PTO, the Kromrey Staff, and the room set up and reservations to create a successful and inviting event!
COUGAR DASH RUN/WALK EVENT
Open
In the fall of 2019, Kromrey PTO worked with the Kromrey Physical Education Department to organize non-competitive, non-fundraising, community-building fun run for students. COVID-19 canceled the spring event. However, it would be wonderful to resume the planning and have a 2022 Run. Walk. Move! Event!
RESTAURANT NIGHTS
Alix Thomas
This chairperson works with local restaurants twice a year to organize a restaurant fundraiser. The chairperson finds a restaurant, a suitable date, and publicizes the event to encourage Kromrey families to purchase at the specific restaurant. The restaurant will then share a small percentage of its proceeds with the PTO!
8TH GRADE CELEBRATION
Open
This chairperson will have a fantastic experience organizing a memorable end-of-year event for 8th-grade students! You will work closely with the Kromrey Administrators beginning in January. The event has been lead by a chair who has made it easy for the next person to take over smoothly!
STAFF APPRECIATION
Carrie Rancourt
This position organizes as many Staff Appreciation events as possible! Kromrey Families are eager to sign up to help with food or appreciation items. The chairs can decide to expand this program to recognize bus drivers, principals, front office staff, and school nurses! Since there are many people to thank and show appreciation, please look out for volunteer sign-ups for this committee!
5th AND 6th GRADE WELCOME EVENTS
Open
This position plans a welcome event for the start of the school year that usually consists of outdoor games. The committee will reach out to local vendors or work closely with school administration or physical education teachers. Caregiver volunteers are required to run the tournament.
